April 22:
Ajahn Thanasanti will be giving a talk on the topic of living
without fear at the Zen Buddhist Temple in Ann Arbor, MI at 7

April 25-29:
Ajahn Thanasanti will be in Colorado and will lead a 5-day
retreat on the theme of Death and Dying. Holy Cross Abbey
Guest House, Canon City, CO (about an hour south of Colorado
Springs). Retreat costs: $280 single room (limited availability),
$220 double room; meals are vegetarian. For details and to

May 9-18:
Ten day retreat at Cloud Mountain Retreat Center, Castle Rock,
WA. This is a dana-based retreat with $100 refundable deposit.

IN CALIFORNIA
May 21:
The sisters will be at Coastside Vipassana in Montara, CA for
tea and to lead the meditation. Tea and conversation at 6pm
followed by a guided meditation beginning at about 7:30 pm.

May 22:
The sisters will lead a meditation from 7:00-8:30 pm at
Vipassana Santa Cruz, 1010 Fair St, Santa Cruz, CA.
May 23:
The sisters will join the Lesbian Buddhist Sangha for an
informal gathering to talk about the vision for the future nuns'
community and to answer questions on practice, Buddhism,
and the monastic tradition. The evening will begin with a
community potluck at 6 pm and at 7 pm the nuns will join the
group for tea and discussion, possibly a short meditation. All
women are welcome to attend. The meeting will be at a home in
Richmond at 494 Western Drive. See map.
May 25:
Insight Meditation Center, 108 Birch Street, Redwood City, CA.
The sisters will lead the Sunday morning sitting. (First sitting 8:30; second sitting 9:20; dharma talk 10:00). The Center has a monthly potluck that follows this talk and this will also be a meal offering for the nuns.
For people who would like to be involved in the Saranaloka Bay Area Supporters’ Group, which organizes and supports the nuns teaching in the Bay Area, there is a meeting 12:30 – 2:30, followed by an informal hike with the sisters or reconvening in a nearby park to finish up the business of the meeting.

Ajahns Thanasanti and Upekkha will give a Dhamma talk on The
Power of Love at the Unitarian Church in Santa Rosa. The talk
will begin at 7 pm. The address is 543 Mendocino Ave. For info,
please call 568-5381. Directions: Go north on Hwy.101 until you
get to the Downtown Santa Rosa exit. After exiting, turn right
onto 3rd St and go to Santa Rosa Ave. Turn Left onto Santa
Rosa which becomes Mendocino at that point. Go to 543 which
is a block past 7th St. Park on the street or go to the parking
garage on 7th St.
